Our school was founded in 1980 on an area of 30 000 square meters. The main building covers 4 000 square meters, there are sports grounds and gardens, swimming pool. It is located in one of the 5 regions of Varna and is the largest school in our town. This is a Secondary School named after the great Bulgarian poet and hero Peyo Yavorov. There are 725 pupils aged 7 to 19 years. All students have Bulgarian nationality. Approximately 30% of children and teenagers living in single parent families and a variety of reasons: divorce, separation and death. Many parents work several jobs due to financial reasons. There are students whose parents live and work in various foreign countries. Therefore, most of them stay only with their problems and difficulties. They are unable to share their problems or to solve it.

Our students study foreign languages and sciences and they can spread their knowledge for a clean planet more efficiently than anybody else. They can also teach their parents, friends and classmates how great the environmental damages could be. The sea in our region definitely influences our way of life. This fact teaches us to live in peace with nature and our modern life. We think we will be able to share our experience with our partners in this fascinating project.
